Technology Partner
With licence for safe energy distribution
Customised switchgear construction has always been part of SCHULZ’s DNA and is a core component of our Networked Energy Solutions (VEL) concept. Our expertise in this area also includes SIVACON S8. We have been a licensed Technology Partner for the SIVACON S8 low-voltage switchgear from Siemens since spring 2023. It is used wherever a high level of security and availability is required, for example in data centres, hospitals, industry, process automation or sensitive infrastructure.
“The bar is set high for Siemens Technology Partnerships,” explained Gerd Ripke, our department manager for switchgear construction in Visbek. The fact that we have sought the licence and not bought in from other technology partners is based on a simple fact: “We like to offer everything from a single source so that we can deliver sophisticated complete packages,” added Ripke. For him and his team, certification was and is based on specialised training in the configuration and design of switchgear, including additional modules such as withdrawable units and arc fault protection systems. The experts from Siemens were also impressed by the modern standards in our production hall for switchgear construction in Visbek. “The SIVACON S8 is a Siemens product and the company naturally ensures a consistently high level of quality in the professional manufacture and installation of the systems. Apart from the correct tightening torque, everything is manufactured and tested according to clearly defined standards,” explained Ripke. That is why not everyone gets this licence.
The commitment of the whole team has paid off: With two further orders, we are able to demonstrate our expertise in the planning, configuration and commissioning of two large SIVACON S8 systems: Both for a telecommunications project in Berlin and for a charging infrastructure project in Nuremberg.
The SIVACON S8 switchgear from Siemens is the powerful and future-proof intelligent switchgear for the digital world and offers increased safety and high flexibility.
