Digital document management
SCHULZ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐งยฎ meets Paperless-ngx
Both have been operating successfully for years, both are pioneers of digitalisation: We are talking about our MES and process control system productionstarยฎ and the document management system (DMS) Paperless-ngx.
Thanks to a new development by our colleague Daniel Magin and his software development team, these two advanced systems now work together in a user-friendly way. This is made possible by a connector with which Paperless-ngx can be integrated directly into productionstarยฎ. โWe wanted to give our small and medium-sized customers the opportunity to manage their jumble of documents in a relatively cost-effective yet highly innovative way,โ says Magin.
The advantages are obvious: Direct access to all legally compliant archived documents such as production logs, stock transfer logs, weighing logs, delivery notes, invoices, etc. saves a lot of time, paper and ultimately money. What used to be a walk to the folder, a time-consuming search in archives or browsing on the drive or in a separate DMS is now just a mouse click away thanks to the Connector. After a few training sessions, the multi-user document management system uses machine learning and optical character reading to recognise the document type and automatically indexes all the information contained therein. All relevant reports for a searched keyword such as batch number, licence plate number, product or date can be called up using a full text search.
“Of course, all process control systems are connected to systems such as SAP or ELO. The documents are then made available via exports. But I’m not aware of any of our market competitors that offer an integrated document management system out of the box,” adds our Head of Software Development. An optimum solution “made by SCHULZ”.
Pure efficiency: With the integration of Paperless-ngx , documents from many sources can be collected, classified and organised.
