Ground-mounted solar park saves 1.5 million kg of CO2 emissions per year
A major contribution to energy transition
MEGA Tierernährung can now generate around a third of its own electricity requirements by itself – with the power of the sun. To this end, we have installed a ground-mounted solar system with our partner 1punkt5 from our corporate group. From planning to grid connection, through to the construction of a medium-voltage system.
The solar park in front of PHW Group’s headquarters is impressive simply because of its size. Solar module after solar module is lined up on an area of around 21,000 square metres – the size of approximately three football pitches.
The system generates over 4.4 megawatt peak (MWp) of electricity. This could supply as many as 1,000 three-person households with electricity. Every year, the PV system saves around 1.5 million kilograms of CO2-emissions.
